All In The Family
Well, a big ass stink was started this past Tuesday by Paul Cellucci, the American ambassador to Canada. Many people too stupid to realize it (including a few Liberal MPs), feel that the ambassador’s comments were his own, and that he should be censured for making them. Get real for a second here people, an ambassador has, and always will be a puppet of the regime it represents. Like any good puppet Cellucci is only repeating what he has been told by his government to say.
If you’re going to get angry, get angry at the right fucking people, namely Condoleezza Rice, Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, (and their puppet) and good ol’ George “Dubyah” Bush, herein referred to collectively as the White House.
Through Cellucci, the White House painted a beautiful word picture of how both the US and Canada benefit from heavy cross border trade, including mentioning the well known fact that the US imports large amounts of Hydroelectric energy from Canadian provinces. He also mentions that the US imports more Oil from Canada than it does from any other nation on the planet. The White house puppet continues on his walk through co-operation memory lane by reminding Canadians that for several decades, Canadian and American servicemen have been working side by side protecting North America at the NORAD Colorado bunker. Cellucci reminds us of the ongoing co-operation between the CIA, FBI and their Canadian counterparts, the RCMP, and CSIS. He tells us how Canada and the US are working together to help so-called “failed states” in the attempt to stop terrorism before it begins (of which the guiding principle is the idea that if we make it safe for businesses, and encourage them to invest in these states, then their economies and people will prosper, and I guess become too busy playing with their cellphones and other useless gadgets to give a fuck about blowing shit up).
Then BAMM! He delivered this message:
There is no security threat to Canada that the United States would not be ready, willing and able to help with. There would be no debate. There would be no hesitation. We would be there for Canada, part of our family. That is why so many in the United States are disappointed and upset that Canada is not fully supporting us now.
This statement is both insulting and pandering at the same time. With it, he tries to guilt Canadians by referring to Canada as part the US family much like PM Chretien said that the US was part of our family. To put this in perspective, this is as low as a guy asking his girlfriend if she loves him with all her heart, and if she would do anything for him, to which she answers yes, and then asking her to let him pop her in the ass and trying to make her feel guilty when she doesn’t let him.
Family? The closest example of the US/Canadian family is the family depicted on the popular TV series ‘All In The Family’ with Archie Bunker depicting the role of the racist, close minded, “my way or the highway” United States; and Mike Stivic playing the role of the ever mindful, open minded, “stop calling me meathead” Canada.
Puppet Cellucci adds this statement just before he closes:
As I mentioned at the outset, our ties are too deep and too long-standing for us not to continue our work together.
What the fuck is this? A threat? Many people around Canada are scared that if we piss of the White House, that we will suffer great economic losses, and that it will be harder and harder to get into the US. Uh, wake the fuck up people, under the current Bush regime we’ve already been suffering huge economic losses, and it has become increasingly difficult for Canadians to enter the US un-harrased, all prior to our unwillingness to join their current war of conquest freedom. The fact is, this current US government has been flexing it’s economic powers against us like no other in recent memory. Their goal? To make us the perfect puppet regime, to think and to act like them, hate who they hate, invade who they invade.
PM Chretien constantly insists that Canada has the right as a sovereign nation to choose to disagree with the US and not to follow them into a war to bring down a dictator that they funded. The PM may very well be playing lip-service to those Canadians when making these statements, but he still speaks the truth.
Let’s see how long it is until the US invades us, citing that we are against them, that due to our liberal views, that we inadvertently harbour terrorists. I can see the Pentagon briefing now….”Do not destroy the Canadian hydroelectric dams, or the oil wells, these belong to the Canadian people and will be needed to rebuild your country.”
Are you frightened? Not frightened enough!
